There are two ways to add a plant to Sow. Mention its name during a Garden Walk, or add it from Plants when you have a photo ready.
01Let a Garden Walk add it for you
During a Garden Walk, say the plant's name and what you notice about it. When the walk is processed, Sow creates a new plant for a name it does not already know and adds your observation to that plant's history. If the plant is already in your journal, Sow adds the new memory to its existing history.
02Add a plant from Plants
Use this path when you have a plant in front of you but do not know its name yet. Open Plants, tap the three-dot (…) button at the top right, then choose Add a plant. If Plants is empty, tap the Add a plant button in the invitation instead.

03Take or choose a photo
Take a photo of the plant, or choose one from your photo library. Adjust the crop, then accept it to continue.

04Review the suggested name
After you accept the photo, Sow can suggest a plant name from the image. The suggestion is a starting point. Review it and edit the field to use the name you call this plant. If Sow cannot suggest a name, enter one yourself.

05Save the plant
When the photo and name are ready, tap Save plant. Sow adds the plant and its first photo to Plants. Use that same name in future Garden Walks so new memories can stay with the plant's history.
